PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan 2021  – On 20 June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new scheme called PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan (Yojana), which is also known as PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana.

The Government of India has launched the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan scheme to help migrant workers and rural citizens. This scheme has been started to help those who have given their jobs due to the epidemic of Kovid-19. Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana has been started at 11:00 pm on 20 June 2020.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday 20 June 2020 from Telihar village in Khagaria district of Bihar. This scheme has been started mainly to provide employment to the migrant laborers, in this scheme 25 different sector works will be added to it.  

PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan will be run for 116 days in 116 districts of the country. Which will benefit more than 25 thousand laborers. The government has kept the budget of poor welfare scheme 50000 crores, under this, various works will be done, whose benefits will be given to the laborers so that their livelihood will continue.

Objective of PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan

Due to Kovid-19, the laborers who used to work in urban areas have now gone to their villages. The scheme has been started to give employment to such people.  

Due to Lok Down, the workers who were living for employment in other states have returned to their homes. Many laborers have returned to their state in lakhs, which will create employment problems for them. Therefore, to provide employment to all these migrant laborers, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana has been started.  

The main objective of this scheme is that the migrant laborer can get employment in his own village. Which will also develop the village and improve the economic condition of the workers.

Features of PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana

• Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Abhiyan was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
• The scheme was launched on 20 June 2020 through video conference from Telihar village in Khagaria district of Bihar.

In which state how many migrant laborers returned

Due to the lockdown, the laborers working in other states have returned to their state. How many laborers have returned to the 6 states in which this scheme has been started is as follows.  

• Uttar Pradesh – more than 35 lakhs
• Madhya Pradesh–  more than 25 lakhs
• Bihar –  more than 1.5 million
• Rajasthan – over 10 lakhs
• Jharkhand – more than 2 lakhs
• Odisha – more than 1 lakh

Migrant laborers will get employment in their own village

In the PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan scheme, migrant laborers will be provided employment around their own villages. With this, workers will not have to know in other states. Also, you will be able to improve your financial situation. The Prime Minister will be able to take care of his family too because of getting employment near the house under the poor welfare scheme.

In this scheme, employment will be given under 12 departments and many works and schemes of the ministry. The scheme included Village Roads Scheme Jal Jeevan Mission, Construction of Community Sanitation Complex, PM Housing Scheme work, PM Kusum Yojana, Animal Shed Construction, Rural Roads and Border Roads, National Highway works, Anganwadi Center work, Water Conservation And harvesting, work and other works under Indian Railways are also included.
